About the project
The Dutch national wavesailing championship needed a new look. No palmtrees, flowers, blue oceans and white sandy beaches that is. Just plain old Dutch weather wavesailing our coastline is known for.
Placement on multiple forms of on- and offline media were considered and made for the final result.
The brand
A new logo combining a wave and the windsurfer on it is the foundation of the new ONKWave brand. The circular shape makes for an icon that is easily placed on shirt, caps, stickers and digital outings. This circle is further used as a dynamic water ripple, always emitted from the logo as center point, symbolizing the ever growing wavesailing community.
Again I was responsible for all media and design. I created the branding and design, did event photo and videography (see video above) and developed the website.
The website functions as a simple hub and contains all info on events, rules and the ONKwave community. The video header represents all that is Dutch wave windsurfing.
